Biography

Liu Yong, MD, West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University, Chief Physician, and Master's Supervisor, has been engaged in plastic surgery for more than 30 years, sculpting confidence and beauty. He is Director of the Breast Subspecialty, Department of Plastic Surgery, West China Hospital, Sichuan University. He was a Visiting Scholar in Plastic Surgery at Harvard Medical School and its affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), and is a Sichuan Provincial Overseas High-Level Talent. He currently serves as a Member of the Breast Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Group, Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Medical Association; a Member of the Oculoplastic Surgery Committee, Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Vice Chairman of the Plastic Surgery Society, Sichuan Medical Association; and a Member of the Trauma Committee, Sichuan Medical Association. He has participated in multiple General Program and Young Scientists Fund projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has led major special projects of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and two commissioned research projects. As first author, he has published nearly 30 academic articles in domestic and international journals, including 11 indexed by SCI and 8 indexed by MEDLINE. He has contributed to the compilation of monographs such as Aesthetic Surgery, Wound Repair Surgery, and Application of Tissue Engineering in Wound Treatment.

Areas of Expertise: Clinically, he specializes particularly in breast plastic surgery (breast reduction, breast ptosis), aesthetic surgeries such as implant-based and autologous fat breast augmentation, breast reconstruction and revision, periorbital aesthetics (double eyelid surgery, eye bag removal, and other periocular rejuvenation procedures), and body contouring (liposuction contouring, abdominoplasty), etc.
